Benjamin Whitford

Benjamin was born on May 1st, 1729 in Exeter, Washington, Rhode Island, USA.¹ Benjamin's father was John Whitford and his mother is Martha Tefft. His paternal grandparents were Pasco Whitford and Mary Stafford; his maternal grandfather was James Tefft and his maternal grandmother is Martha Sheffield. He had two brothers and six sisters, named John, Amos, Sarah, Lydia, Elizabeth, Mary, Mercy and Martha. He was the second oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 45 on September 3rd, 1774.¹
