John Whitford

John was born on December 1st, 1737 in Exeter, Washington, Rhode Island, USA.¹ John's father was John Whitford and his mother is Martha Tefft. His paternal grandparents were Pasco Whitford and Mary Stafford; his maternal grandfather was James Tefft and his maternal grandmother is Martha Sheffield. He had two brothers and six sisters, named Benjamin, Amos, Sarah, Lydia, Elizabeth, Mary, Mercy and Martha. He was the sixth oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 84 on October 31st, 1822.¹
