Huldah was born on June 19th, 1731 in Tisbury, Dukes, Massachusetts, USA.1   Huldah's father was Gershom Cathcart.  Her paternal grandparents were Robert Gershom Cathcart and Phebe Coleman. She had seven brothers and seven sisters, named Thomas, Joseph, Jonathan, Hugh, Gershom, Benjamin, Robert, Parnell, Abigail, Nancy, Ann, Martha, Phebe and Love.  She was the fourth oldest of the fifteen children.  She died at the age of 100 in 1831.
