Hugh Cathcart

Hugh was born on March 2nd, 1745 in Tisbury, Massachusetts, USA.¹ Hugh's father was Gershom Cathcart and his mother was Mary Athearn. His paternal grandparents were Robert Gershom Cathcart and Phebe Coleman. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Thomas, Joseph, Jonathan, Gershom, Parnell, Abigail, Nancy, Ann and Martha. He was the sixth oldest of the ten children. He had two half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Benjamin, Robert, Phebe, Love and Huldah. He died at the age of 79 on June 8th, 1824 in West Tisbury, Dukes, Massachusetts, USA.¹
