Ruth was born in 1931.  Ruth's father was Juan Paredes Vargas and her mother was Ofelia Zilvetti Juarez.  Her paternal grandparents were Hurbano Paredes and Teodora Vargas; her maternal grandparents were David Zilveti Pinedo and Candelaria Juarez Guerra.  She was the fourth of eight children.  She had three brothers and four sisters, named Eduardo, Juan, Hugo, Luz, Lia, Estela and Sonia.  She died due to a medical problem.
