Zsófia Réti

'Réti Zsófia 18870227 SZAK' Picture Notes

Zsófia was born on February 27th, 1887 in Aranyos and her christening took place there on March 1st, 1887 conducted by minister Nyilas Alajos.¹   Her godfather was Süti István and her godmother was Kopcsik Katalin.

Zsófia's father was Florencz (Hotenez) Réthy (Szeti?) and her mother was Rebeka Székely.  Her paternal grandparents were József Réti (Szeti?) and Eszter Faragó; her maternal grandparents were József Székely and Erzsébet Balázs. She had three brothers and six sisters, named Zoltán, Florencz, Lajos, Vilma, Zsófia, Eszter, Zsuzsana, Terézia and Terézia.  She was the oldest of the ten children.  She died at the age of 6 on January 12th, 1894 in Aranyos.¹
