Eszter was born on January 24th, 1898 in Aranyos.  Eszter's father was Florencz Réthy (Szeti?) and her mother was Rebeka Székely.  Her paternal grandparents were József Réti and Eszter Faragó; her maternal grandparents were <Unknown> and <Unknown>. She had three brothers and six sisters, named Zoltán, Florencz, Lajos, Zsófia, Vilma, Zsófia, Zsuzsana, Terézia and Terézia.  She was the fifth oldest of the ten children.  She died at the age of 83 in 1981.
