General Notes
Lionel was born at Antwerp on November 29th, 1338. He married Elizabeth, daughter and heir of William de Burg, Earl of Ulster. He was appointed Lord Lieutenant of Ireland September 8th, 1361, and Duke of Clarence of the honour of Clare, Suffolf in 1362, as well as Earl of Ulster and Lord of Connaught and Trim in Ireland by virtue of his marriage with Elizabeth. He died at Longeville in Piedmont October 17th, 1368 while his father was alive and on the Throne.
