Philip IV, known as The Fair, was born in 1268. The Fair's father was Philip III “The Bold” (King of France) and his mother was Isabella of Aragon.  His paternal grandparents were Louis IX (King of France) and Margaret of Provence; his maternal grandparents were James I (King of Aragon) and Violant of Hungary. He had a brother named Charles.  He was the older of the two children. He had a half-sister named Margaret.  He died at the age of 46 in 1314.
