Alfonso IX (King of Leon) 
Alfonso IX was born on August 15th, 1171. Alfonso IX's father was Ferdinand II (King of Leon) and his mother was Urraca of Portugal. His paternal grandparents were Alfonso VII (King of Castille & Leon) and Berenguela of Barcelona. He was an only child. He died at the age of 59 on September 24th, 1230.-
