Afonso VI (King of Castile, Leon, Galicia) 
Afonso VI was born in 1040. Afonso VI's father was Ferdinand I (King of Castile & Leon) and his mother was Sancha of Leon. His paternal grandparents were Sancho III (King of Navarre) and Mayor of Castile; his maternal grandparents were Alfonso V (King of Leon) and Elvira Menéndez. He had two brothers named Sancho II and Garcia II. He was the second oldest of the three known children. He died at the age of 69 in 1109.-
