Ordoño III was born in 0926.  Ordoño III's father was Ramiro II (King of Leon) and his mother was Adosinda Gutiérrez.  His paternal grandparents were Ordoño II (King of Leon & Galicia) and Elvira Menéndez. He had a half-brother named Sancho I.  He died at the age of 30 in 0956.
