Robert Ramsbottom

Robert was born in 1796 in Whitefield and his baptism took place on January 31st, 1796 at St. Mary-the-Virgin (Prestwich).¹

Robert's father was Thomas Ramsbottom and his mother was Margaret Mather. His maternal grandparents were William Mather and Elizabeth (Betty) Ingram. He had five brothers and four sisters, named James, John, Thomas, Richard, James, Mary, Jane, Betty and Ann.
