James Ramsbottom

James was born in 1792 in Whitefield and his baptism took place on October 28th, 1792 at St. Mary-the-Virgin (Prestwich).¹

James' father was Thomas Ramsbottom and his mother was Margaret Mather.  His maternal grandparents were William Mather and Elizabeth (Betty) Ingram. He had five brothers and four sisters, named John, Robert, Thomas, Richard, James, Mary, Jane, Betty and Ann.  He died at the age of 1 in January 1793 in Whitefield.  He was buried on January 30th, 1793 at St. Mary-the-Virgin (Prestwich).¹
