Margaret Mather

Margaret was born in June 1772 in Whitefield and her baptism took place on June 19th, 1772 at St. Mary-the-Virgin (Prestwich).¹

Margaret's father was William Mather and her mother was Elizabeth (Betty) Ingram.  Her paternal grandparents were John Mather and Joanna Hilton. She had four brothers and a sister, named Thomas, Richard, William, Samuel and Mary.  She was the third youngest of the six children.  She died at the age of 66 in March 1839 in Prestwich.  She was buried on March 8th, 1839 at St. Mary-the-Virgin (Prestwich).²
