Nicholas Mather

Nicholas was born on April 7th, 1836 in Mellor.¹

Birth Notes
- Aged 32 in 1871, born Ramsgreave, Lancashire
  Aged 45 in 1881

Nicholas' father was William Mather and his mother was Margaret Pomfret. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Amos, Zephaniah, Mary, Nancy and Margaret. He was the oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 87 on June 19th, 1923 in Mellor.²

  In 1861, Nicholas Mather married Alice Earnshaw at Mellor, Preston. Two years later, Mary Jane Mather maried Eli Earnshar at Mellor. They may have been brother and sister.
