William F Stapleton 
William was born on August 22nd, 1896 in The Standing, Knockboy. William's father was Patrick Stapleton and his mother was Ellen Bartley. His paternal grandparents were William Stapleton and Margaret Nowlan; his maternal grandparents were Michael Bartley and Mary Manton. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Michael, Patrick, James, John, Richard, Margaret and Mary. He was the second oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 74 on July 24th, 1971 in Roosevelt, Nassau Co, New York. He was buried on July 28th, 1971 in Cemetery of the Holy Rood, Westbury, New York.-
