Patrick was born on December 1st, 1901 in Knockboy, Buolick. Patrick's father was Patrick Stapleton and his mother was Ellen Bartley. His paternal grandparents were William Stapleton and Margaret Nowlan; his maternal grandparents were Michael Bartley and Mary Manton. He had five brothers and two sisters, named William, Michael, James, John, Richard, Margaret and Mary. He was the fourth oldest of the eight children. He died in an accident or as a result of an injury, Fractured Skull, Fall From Bicycle 17/06/1962, at the age of 60 on June 20th, 1962 in Rathbeg. Gortnahoe.-
