Maria (Mary) was born on March 29th, 1887.  Maria (Mary)'s father was Christian Hansen-Ankersen and her mother was Caroline Jessen.  Her maternal grandparents were Johannus Jessen and Katrina C. Krownberg. She had six brothers and four sisters, named Christian Jr., John, Charles, William, James, George, Anna, Sophie, Dorothy and Elizabeth.  She was the oldest of the eleven children.  She died at the age of 79 on November 4th, 1966.

Maria (Mary) and George were married in 1915.  They had three daughters named Carolyn, Elizabeth and Alice.
