Bert (Carl) was born on April 10th, 1910.  Bert (Carl)'s father was Gustaf Theodore Gustafson and his mother was Hanna Christine Gydersen.  His paternal grandparents were John F. Gustafson and Anna Sophia Andersdotter; his maternal grandparents were Mads Gydersen and Christine Jessen. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Arthur, Elmer (Sonny), Ellen, Ruth, Agusta (Mildred) and Esther.  He died due to a medical problem at the age of 79 on March 4th, 1990.
