Victoria Alberta of_Hesse was born in 1863.  Victoria Alberta of_Hesse's father was Louis_IV of_Hesse and her mother was Alice Maud Mary.  Her paternal grandparents were Charles of_Hesse and Elizabeth of_Prussia; her maternal grandparents were Albert Augustus Charles and Victoria Hanover.  She was the oldest of seven children.  She had two brothers and four sisters, named Ernest Louis of_Hesse, Frederick, Elizabeth "Ella", Irene of_Hesse, Alexandra Fedorovna "Alix" and Mary "May".  She died at the age of 87 in 1950.
