Alice Maud Mary was born on April 25th, 1843 in Buckingham,Palace,London,England.  Alice Maud Mary's father was Albert Augustus Charles and her mother was Victoria Hanover.  Her paternal grandparents were Ernest_I of_Saxe-Coburg- Saalfeld and Louise of_Saxe-Coburg- Altenburg; her maternal grandparents were Edward Augustus Hanover and Victoria Mary Louisa.  She was the third of nine children.  She had four brothers and four sisters, named Edward_VII, Alfred Ernest Albert, Arthur William Patrick, Leopold George Duncan, Victoria Adelaide Mary, Helena Augusta Victoria, Louise Caroline Alberta and Beatrice Mary Victoria.  She died at the age of 35 on December 14th, 1878 in Darmstadt,,,Germany.
