Alfred Ernest Albert was born on August 6th, 1844 in Windsor Castle,Berkshire,England.  Alfred Ernest Albert's father was Albert Augustus Charles and his mother was Victoria Hanover.  His paternal grandparents were Ernest_I of_Saxe-Coburg- Saalfeld and Louise of_Saxe-Coburg- Altenburg; his maternal grandparents were Edward Augustus Hanover and Victoria Mary Louisa.  He was the fourth of nine children.  He had three brothers and five sisters, named Edward_VII, Arthur William Patrick, Leopold George Duncan, Victoria Adelaide Mary, Alice Maud Mary, Helena Augusta Victoria, Louise Caroline Alberta and Beatrice Mary Victoria.  He died at the age of 55 on July 30th, 1900 in Schloss Rosenau,Near Coburg.
