Henry of_Gloucester was born on July 8th, 1640 in Oatlands,Surrey,England.  Henry of_Gloucester's father was Charles_I Stuart and his mother was Henrietta Maria of_France.  His paternal grandparents were James_I Stuart and Anne of_Denmark; his maternal grandparents were Henry_IV the_Great and Marie de'_Medici.  He was the eighth of nine children.  He had three brothers and five sisters, named Charles James, Charles_II, James_II, Mary, Elizabeth, Anne, Catherine and Henrietta Anne.  He died at the age of 20 on September 13th, 1660 in Whitehall Palace.
