Charles James was born on May 13th, 1629 in Greenwich Palace.  Charles James' father was Charles_I Stuart and his mother was Henrietta Maria of_France.  His paternal grandparents were James_I Stuart and Anne of_Denmark; his maternal grandparents were Henry_IV the_Great and Marie de'_Medici.  He was the oldest of nine children.  He had three brothers and five sisters, named Charles_II, James_II, Henry of_Gloucester, Mary, Elizabeth, Anne, Catherine and Henrietta Anne.  He died on May 13th, 1629 in Greenwich Palace.
