Charles_II was born on May 29th, 1630 in St. James Palace,London,England.  Charles_II's father was Charles_I Stuart and his mother was Henrietta Maria of_France.  His paternal grandparents were James_I Stuart and Anne of_Denmark; his maternal grandparents were Henry_IV the_Great and Marie de'_Medici.  He was the second of nine children.  He had three brothers and five sisters, named Charles James, James_II, Henry of_Gloucester, Mary, Elizabeth, Anne, Catherine and Henrietta Anne.  He died at the age of 54 on February 6th, 1685 in Whitehall Palace,,England.  His burial was in Westminster,Abbey,London,England.
