Mary was born on March 5th, 1723 in Leicester House.  Mary's father was George_II Hanover and her mother was Caroline of_Ansbach.  Her paternal grandparents were George_I Hanover and Sophia Dorothea of_Celle; her maternal grandfather was John Frederick of_Brandenburg-.  She was the eighth of nine children.  She had four brothers and four sisters, named Frederick Louis, Son, George William, William Augustus of_Cumberland, Anne, Amelia Sophia Eleanor, Caroline Elizabeth and Louisa.  She died at the age of 48 on January 14th, 1772 in Hanau.
