George William was born on November 13th, 1717 in St. James Palace,London,England.  George William's father was George_II Hanover and his mother was Caroline of_Ansbach.  His paternal grandparents were George_I Hanover and Sophia Dorothea of_Celle; his maternal grandfather was John Frederick of_Brandenburg-.  He was the sixth of nine children.  He had three brothers and five sisters, named Frederick Louis, Son, William Augustus of_Cumberland, Anne, Amelia Sophia Eleanor, Caroline Elizabeth, Mary and Louisa.  He died at 3 months old on February 17th, 1718 in Kensington,Palace,London,England.
