George_II was born on October 30th, 1683 in Herrenhausen,Palace,Hannover,Germany.  George_II's father was George_I Hanover and his mother was Sophia Dorothea of_Celle.  His paternal grandparents were Ernest Augustus of_Brunswick and Sophia Hanover; his maternal grandparents were George William of_Brunswick and Celle.  He was the oldest of two children.  He had a sister named Sophia Dorothea.  He died at the age of 76 on October 25th, 1760 in Kensington,Palace,London,England.  His burial was in Westminster,Abbey,London,England.
