George_I was born on May 28th, 1660 in Leineschloss,Osnabruck,Hanover,Germany.  George_I's father was Ernest Augustus of_Brunswick and his mother was Sophia Hanover.  His maternal grandparents were Frederick_V of_Palatinate and Elizabeth Stuart.  He was the oldest of seven children.  He had five brothers and a sister, named Christian, Charles Philip, Maximilian William, Frederick Augustus, Ernest Augustus and Sophia Charlotte.  He died at the age of 67 on June 11th, 1727 in Osnabruck.  His burial was in Moved in 1957 to,Herrenhausen.
