Elizabeth Caroline was born on January 10th, 1741.  Elizabeth Caroline's father was Frederick Louis Hanover and her mother was Augusta of_Saxe-Gotha.  Her paternal grandparents were George_II Hanover and Caroline of_Ansbach; her maternal grandparents were Frederick_II of_Saxe-Gotha and Magdalena Augusta of_Anhalt-Zerbst.  She was the fourth of nine children.  She had five brothers and three sisters, named George_III, Edward Augustus, Edward Henry of_Gloucester, Henry Frederick of_Cumberland, Frederick William, Augusta, Louisa Anne and Caroline Matilda.  She died at the age of 18 on September 4th, 1759 in Kew Palace.
