Augusta was born on August 12th, 1737 in St. James Palace,London,England.  Augusta's father was Frederick Louis Hanover and her mother was Augusta of_Saxe-Gotha.  Her paternal grandparents were George_II Hanover and Caroline of_Ansbach; her maternal grandparents were Frederick_II of_Saxe-Gotha and Magdalena Augusta of_Anhalt-Zerbst.  She was the oldest of nine children.  She had five brothers and three sisters, named George_III, Edward Augustus, Edward Henry of_Gloucester, Henry Frederick of_Cumberland, Frederick William, Elizabeth Caroline, Louisa Anne and Caroline Matilda.  She died at the age of 75 on March 23rd, 1813 in London,England.
