Rory was born in December 1968.  Rory's father was Robert (Bobby) Francis Kennedy and her mother is Ethel S Skakel.  Her paternal grandparents were Joseph P. Kennedy and Rose Elizabeth Fitzgerald.  She had seven brothers and three sisters, named Joseph, Bobby Jr., David, Michael, Christopher, Max, Douglas, Kathleen, Mary and Mary.  She is the youngest of the eleven children.

Mark and Rory were married on August 2nd, 1999 in Greece. They have two daughters named Georgia and Bridget.
