Joseph was born in September 1952. Joseph's father was Robert (Bobby) Francis Kennedy and his mother is Ethel S Skakel. His paternal grandparents were Joseph P. Kennedy and Rose Elizabeth Fitzgerald. He had six brothers and four sisters, named Bobby Jr., David, Michael, Christopher, Max, Douglas, Kathleen, Mary, Mary and Rory. He is the second oldest of the eleven children.
