John was born in 1855.  John's father was George Washington Glover and his mother was Nancy Teets.  His paternal grandparents were Richard Glover and Sarah  Street (Glover). He had a brother and two sisters, named William, Anabella and Mary.  He was the second oldest of the four children. He had three half-brothers and five half-sisters, named Taylor, George, Reuben, Selena, Melissa, Rhoda, Savilla and Minerva.  He died at the age of 93 on April 27th, 1948.
