George was born on May 23rd, 1828.  George's father was Richard Glover and his mother was Sarah  Street (Glover).  His paternal grandparents were Amos Glover and Drusilla Spurgin. He had eight brothers and four sisters, named William, Elizar, Andrew, John, Harrison, Amos, Alpheus, Preston, Elizabeth, Drusillan, Angelena and Harriet.  He was the fifth oldest of the thirteen children.  He died at the age of 56 on October 2nd, 1884.
