Joseph Samuel Kitto

Joseph Samuel was born in 1880 in Cleator Moor, Cumberland. Joseph Samuel's father was William Andrew Kitto and his mother was Elizabeth Jane Tembey. His paternal grandparents are James Kitto and Alice Williams; his maternal grandparents were Samuel Tembey and Sarah Thomas. He had three brothers and five sisters, named James Henry, William Christopher, Thomas, Eliza, Elizabeth Jane, Sarah Ann, Eliza and Louie. He is the sixth oldest of the nine children.
