Oliver, known as Spud, was born on October 30th, 1923.  Spud's father was Orville (Buck) Miller and his mother was Emma Amelia Busser (Miller).  His paternal grandparents were Loren (Brick) B Miller and Ida Codney (Miller); his maternal grandparents were John Busser and Elizabeth Smith (Busser). He had three brothers and six sisters, named Orville, Robert, John, Frances, Freda, Dorothy, Helen, Betty and Sally.  He was the third oldest of the ten children.  He died at the age of 60 on January 4th, 1984.  He was buried at the Steward Cemetery, Steward Il..
