Sarah's father was Isaac Jones and her mother was Elizabeth Powell. Her paternal grandfather is Edward Jones; her maternal grandparents are George Powell and Jane. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Edward, Richard, Thomas, John, Henry, Elizabeth, Mary and Margaret. She was the fifth oldest of the nine children. She died on January 10th, 1929 in Church Street, Rhosllanerchrugo, Ruabon, Denbighshire, Wales.¹
