Female Mary Jones

Mary was born in August 1850 in Whittington, Oswestry, Shropshire, England.  Mary's father was Isaac Jones and her mother was Elizabeth Powell.  Her paternal grandfather is Edward Jones; her maternal grandparents are George Powell and Jane. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Edward, Richard, Thomas, John, Henry, Elizabeth, Sarah and Margaret.  She is the second oldest of the nine children.

Mary's family with William Barkley

Mary and William were married in a religious ceremony in December 1868 in Oswestry, Shropshire, England.1   They have three sons and four daughters, named James, William, Charles, Mary Jane, Elizabeth E, Sarah and Margaret Ann.
