General Notes

Frances Wafer told Batt and Ellen Kenny of Kennystown several things about the family before she died.
I have a picture of the ruin of this house that Richard and Annie Wafer Kenny lived in.  It is still standing in Kilcaven, County Wicklow.  Just over the hill, to the east is Kennystown.
In 2011, I received an email from Pat Kenny whom I do not know.  He stated:
I can fill in some details on Matthew below as he was my grandfather. His father, Richard, remarried a woman of surname Byrne and he moved to Avoca, Co. Wicklow.  He Died in 1944 and is actually buried in the cemetary at Glendalough (near the round tower).

Richard's son Matthew, married Bridget Murphy.  They had 8 children. One boy, Sean, died when young.  The rest are still alive.  Bridget died in 1968.  Matthew died in 1985.

To show the above info is correct, I found this census with new wife, bridget:

later, Patrick told me...Richard seemed to move to Avoca following the death of Ann Wafer.  He re-married and had more kids with a lady called Byrne actually.  Matthew, my grandfather, was born in Kilcavan for sure.  He would continue to visit his relatives in the Carnew area all his life.

many years later in 2015-17 Patrick and I have become quite close, coorisponding often. We have both done extensive DNA testing and we were able to detemine our genetic relationship is extermely close.  We started to test Richard Kenny of kennystown, on of Denis and Bridget's sons.  he too tested with similar DNA as Patric and I, confirming out close relationship with these Irish people.
