Matthew KENNY 
Matthew was born on October 2nd, 1904 in Tomacork, County Wicklow, Ireland.1 Matthew's father was Richard KENNY and his mother was Annie WAFER. His paternal grandparents were Richard KENNY and Margaret MCDONNELL; his maternal grandparents were Matthew WAFER and Frances CAULFIELD. He had three brothers and a sister, named Richard, Denis, Michael and Frances. He had five half-brothers and seven half-sisters, named Richard Joseph, Michael, Andrew, James, Sean, Maria, Rose, Molly, Nancy, Bridget, Julia and Kathleen. He died at the age of 80 on January 19th, 1985 in Tigroney, Avoca, County, Wicklow, Ireland. He was buried in 1985 in Avoca, County Wicklow, Ireland.2 General Notes
Patrick Kenny wrote: My grandfather Matthew was born in Tomacork. His mother I always knew as a Wafer but she died young. My grandfather always visited the Wafers when he went to Carnew. Richard left Carnew and moved to Avoca (probably after the death of his wife) - he bought land and worked in the copper mine. He died in 1944 - the year my father was born. Richard is buried in Glendalough. I was actually at the funeral of his son (Jimmy - whose mother was a Byrne) in 2006 who was buried with him.
