Marjory was born in January 1746.  Marjory's father was Henry Skewes and her mother was Margery Behenna.  Her paternal grandparents were Richard Skewes and Mary James. She had a brother and six sisters, named Henry, Elizabeth, Mary, Jane, Ann, Biddy and Patience.  She was the third oldest of the eight children.
