Henry was born in June 1749.  Henry's father was Henry Skewes and his mother was Margery Behenna.  His paternal grandparents were Richard Skewes and Mary James. He had seven sisters named Elizabeth, Mary, Marjory, Jane, Ann, Biddy and Patience.  He was the fourth oldest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 83 on February 16th, 1833.
