Catherine (Kate) was born on July 11th, 1892 in Coalsnaughton.1  Catherine (Kate)'s father was Henry Allan and her mother was Isabella Hunter.  Her paternal grandparents were Henry Allan and Devina Cook; her maternal grandparents were Joseph Hunter and Mary Gray. She had four brothers and five sisters, named Henry, Joseph, Jim, Robert, Mary, Ina, Isabella , Jeanie and Elspeth.  She was the third oldest of the ten children.  She died at the age of 79 on March 21st, 1972 in Riverview Hospital, Windsor, Ontario.  The funeral took place in 1969 Wyandotte Street East, at Devonshire Road, Windsor, Ontario and was arranged by Walter D Kelly Funeral Home.  Her burial was on March 23rd, 1972.2
