Prince was born on March 14th, 1861 in Effingham County, Illinois.  Prince's father was John Keston Webb and his mother was Tabitha Hensley (Webb).  His paternal grandparents were John Webb and Elizabeth A. Mayfield (Webb); his maternal grandparents were John G. Hensley and Easter Johnston (Hensley). He had three brothers and two sisters, named John, Francis, James, Amanda and Menora.  He was the youngest of the six children. He had a half-sister named Susan.  He died  due to pulmonary tuberculosis at the age of 68 on January 16th, 1930.  The funeral was arranged by O. L. North.  He was buried on January 17th, 1930 at the Loveless Cemetery.1
