James was born in 1855. James' father was John Keston Webb and his mother was Tabitha Hensley (Webb). His paternal grandparents were John Webb and Elizabeth A. Mayfield (Webb); his maternal grandparents were John G. Hensley and Easter Johnston (Hensley). He had three brothers and two sisters, named John, Francis, Prince, Amanda and Menora. He was the third oldest of the six children. He had a half-sister named Susan. He died after February 16th, 1883.
