Albert, known as Ray, was born on January 5th, 1940 in Lewis County, Tennessee. Ray's father was Emmett Albert Webb and his mother was Evelyn Elizabeth Buie (Webb Russell). His paternal grandparents were William Keston Webb and Anna Savannah Carolina Tennessee Churchwell (Webb); his maternal grandparents were Josirus Lee Buie and Claude Staggs (Buie). He had three brothers and four sisters, named Bill, Ernie, Ricky, Yvonne, Shirley, Linda and Peggy. He died by commiting suicide at the age of 48 on April 21st, 1988 in Maury County, Tennessee. He was buried at the Loveless Cemetery.
