Rhoda was born about 1818. Rhoda's father was Issac W. Wallis and her mother was Elizabeth Hobson (Wallis). She had six brothers and three sisters, named George, Timothy, Joshep, Billy, Thomas, Isaac, Rachel, Ruth and Tisha. She was the fifth oldest of the ten known children.
