Walton was born on May 20th, 1922. Walton's father was Marshell Fred Carroll and his mother was Virgie Sharp (Carroll). His paternal grandparents were Willis Lafayette Carroll and Della M. --- (Carroll); his maternal grandparents were Bedford C. Sharp and Malinda Ann Skelton. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Melvin, Alton, Lucile, Edith, Dorothy and Eva. Walton and Alton were unknown twins. He died at the age of 17 on May 16th, 1940. He was buried at the Piney Cemetery.
